I never really cared much for reading back then. Every now and then, I’d read whatever everyone else was reading just so I could keep up with the kids in elementary school. But one Sunday, while I was at a flea market, I spotted a book that immediately captivated me. The book *Silver*, the first book in Kerstin Gier’s *Dreams* series, had a beautiful cover that instantly captivated me. I bought the book and brought it home, full of joy. To be honest, it took quite a while before I read it for the first time—and yes, I’ve read it more than once.

The book itself is about a girl named Liv Silber. When her mother decides to move to London to live with her new boyfriend, along with Liv and her little sister Mia Silber, Liv’s world falls apart. But her mysterious new stepbrother has secrets that Liv is determined to uncover at all costs, even if it means putting herself in danger. As the title might suggest, the book is largely about dreams and the dangerous encounters that take place within them.
I found the idea that we can meet in the corridors between dreams fascinating. It blurred the lines between reality and fantasy in a way I had never encountered in a book before.
This is a fantasy novel packed with incredible suspense, compelling character development, and heartwarming moments. But it was the plot that made me buy the remaining two volumes. It was completely unexpected and left me speechless as I read.
To be honest, it takes a little while for the story to really get going, but it’s important to stick with it. It’s definitely worth it!
